Born in Canada, Henry Taube received his B.S. in chemistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 1935, and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Berkeley in 1940. He was an Instructor at Berkeley, Assistant Professor at Cornell, rose to Professor at the University of Chicago, and in 1962 came to Stanford University.
